From the moment I boarded my first flight at the age of four, my passion for adventure and aviation started. As the years rolled by, I felt privileged to grow up below the big open skies of Norfolk in the UK, but a desire to explore – and spend more time above the clouds – was calling.
My other passion – writing – led me away from the comfort blanket of home to London, to study for an English Literature degree. I was following the path less trodden, as the first person in my family to ever go to university, or leave Norfolk.
Upon graduating, the skies were still calling, and I became long haul cabin crew. I loved travelling the world, following sunrises and sunsets, truly living life in the moment.
When the opportunity came to combine aviation and writing, managing communications to cabin crew, then airports and pilots, it was a dream come true. And 16 years later, my passion for aviation, travel, and effective communication is still glowing.
Except, my landscape has changed dramatically.
Now with four young children, my husband and I have made a pact to keep exploring. We’ve lived abroad, moved around the UK, and are always on the lookout for our next adventure.
